Hello everyone,

What a summer of heatwaves it’s been! I’ve definitely had to rethink my skincare routine to cope with the soaring temperatures. Thankfully, things are finally cooling down a little, with some welcome rain in parts of the country.

If your skin is feeling more like a raisin than a grape, you’re not alone! I’ve even had a fan pointed at my face day and night, something I never do — definitely not my usual recommendation, but needs must! Read on to see how to keep skin hydrated and my top 5 summer skin tips.

One of my highlights this week was a brilliant chat with the wonderful Dr Paul Nassif. We covered everything from his intense routine (he’s up at 4:15am!), to family life, focus, bucket lists and, of course, skincare. If you missed it, you can catch the full interview on my Instagram where I’ve saved the Live.

We also talked about his upcoming QVC UK Today’s Special Value, launching Friday at 9pm and available until Saturday at 11.59pm, while stocks last. I’m so excited to see him back in the UK—this time with his family joining him, plus plans for a bit of sightseeing.

I was especially interested to hear about the first two products he ever created—both of which I’ve loved since launch:

NassifMD® Detox Pads – Iconic exfoliating pads that have sold in their millions. A summer essential for me, they gently exfoliate, help remove SPF, refine pores and leave skin looking clearer and fresher without stripping.

NassifMD® Hydro-Screen® Serum – One of my all-time favourite skincare products. Rich, comforting and deeply hydrating, it’s famously described by Dr Nassif as taking skin from “a raisin to a grape”—and I completely agree!

The collection also includes:

NassifMD® Deco-Lift® Neck & Décolleté Complex – because the neck and chest deserve just as much care as the face.

I’ve already shared a couple of reels on Instagram, with another coming soon. Please do leave any questions in the comments—I’ll be putting many of them to Dr Paul during our live shows.

I’ll be live with Dr Paul on Saturday at 3pm and 6pm, and I’d love you to join us.

My Top 5 Summer Skin Tips

  • Cleanse properly — even minimal makeup. SPF, sweat and pollution all need removing between SPF applications to prevent build up problems.
  •  Avoid highly pigmented makeup when sunbathing (not that I want your face in the sun) as it can, along with fragrance on your body, cause reactions and potential pigmentation problems.
  • Chill sheet masks, eye products or mists for an instant cooling boost. And ice cube or frozen spoon massages really do depuff and calm the skin.
  • Dehydrated / dry lips may not just need lip balm but can be a sign that you need some natural hydration so drink more water, hydration drinks and don’t forget coconut water or milk naturally contain rehydrating minerals and salts.
  • Increase cuticle oils and hair serums / masks as the keratin layers of hair and nails can become brittle in heat, causing damage.

Finally, thank you so much for your continued support. I’ve loved hearing how many of you are enjoying the exclusive discount codes. My next newsletter will include more exciting offers (we’re working hard to restock popular products!) plus some lovely new brands to discover.

I’m also planning some very special beauty boxes closer to Christmas, so keep an eye on your inbox—I can’t wait to share more soon.

Until next time, take care, stay hydrated and enjoy the rest of the summer.

With love, Alison xx
