Just like the seasons our skincare needs to change too, and autumn has definitely come in with a wet whirlwind, I hope you’re safe and dry!
New season, new skincare
With a change of season comes the need to reassess your beauty routine, why? Well as the largest organ of the body the skin (including face, body and hair) is affected by weather changes outside, heat and air conditions inside in the car / home / work as well as food changes from the inside. Even a normal skin needs to reassess. What are the future results or experiences you want to achieve and enjoy in the months to come? Analyse your skin both with and without makeup and see how makeup, hair, body and nails perform with what your current concerns and desired results are.

Holiday beauty must-haves
I was on holiday recently and as usual it ended up with me swapping to a larger case and being charged excess baggage, as well as buying more at the airport! A holiday for me is also a chance to test and luxuriate in beauty and I wanted to share a few of my fav things that I enjoyed using while I was away. First up is the Elemis Instant Pro Collagen Smooth Primer, I’m on my second tube since its launch earlier this year and you may have seen me mention this in press recently. Not only does it perform in all weather, on top of any textures or layering of skincare and under any type of makeup, it helps to make your skin look great without makeup too! I’ll be requesting a duo and/or a supersize of this!

Fragrance first
As I mentioned I had a serious shop in duty free and couldn’t resist these Miller Harris fragrances. You really can tell the difference of artisan luxury high quality blends against pure fashion only.

I have bought at least 5 bottles of the Lumiere Dorée and gifted a couple to besties too. It’s fresh clean, bright and uplifting and lasts plus I never fail to get comments.

More sophisticated for dressed up days or evenings is the ‘Powdered Veil’. Amber wrapped in a veil of cashmere but unusually it has a soft light floral touch so isn’t to heady and will be wonderful in the winter.

My trend choice is ‘on the rooftops’ for smart casual! Jeans and a boot teamed with a shirt or jumper for a casual work or press meeting.

Essential Oils Beauty Hack
A real treat, and one I always buy, is a box of the mixed aromatherapy essential oils. Use pre shower or bath if you want to make days at home feel special, they are a must. Use the different oils AM and PM or whenever you feel the need. The names are self-explanatory so it’s easy. Beauty hack – apply a few drops after the shower too as a fragrance if you need the therapeutic benefits. Always make sure to patch test first!

Real Beauty, Real Results, Real Skincare
I was recently discussing skin with a journalist. She has considered exfoliation the ‘old school’ way with the use of peels, retinol etc. The easy access to such services (often free) gave me another idea for new tutorials focusing on real beauty and different ways to achieve the same result.
Dates For Your Diary
I’m back on QVC on Sunday 06th October at 11am & 2pm and Monday 07th October 5pm & 8pm. I have a few more shows that week too. Follow me on my Instagram and Facebook pages for more updates.

This is more of a question please, What can I do at home? To unblock blocked pores on my nose, without damaging the skin. I do have facials monthly, but blackheads are a real concern for me. Many Thanks. Paula ❤️
